Before you start giving this article a read, if you missed our previous coverage be sure you check that out here. These are the coolest business class seats we've seen in a while. Virgin Australia Airlines, a Brisbane based airline, launched its new Airbus A330 Business Class Suites on the 17th of August 2015. The airline states that they will be setting a new standard in domestic business class around the globe. These business class seats will be available on the whole A330 fleet by the end of October in 2015.

Here are some key features:

  • The Reverse herringbone cabin-layout, which will maximize privacy and enable 100% convenient aisle access within a 1-2-1 configuration.

  • The best in-flight comfort around with ample space for multi-tasking. The customized seat cushion (triple-layer) is supported by a hammock sub-frame. A turn down service including mattress toppers of memory foam with high grade cotton pillows.
  • HD 16 inch touch screens that feature the Virgin Australia Entertainment seat-back system and an enhanced graphical user interface.
  •  Individualized service from the dedicated Virgin Australia cabin crew.
  •  A hand delivered (restaurant style) fine dining experience that will enable the passengers to dine whenever they want. This includes new Luke Mangan menu and premium Australian wines.
  •  Collaboration with Nespresso to deliver the finest coffee in the sky.

John Borghetti, CEO of Virgin Australia said, "Virgin Australia has once again changed the game in domestic business class travel." The airline is bound to change the game plan again later this year by launching its new long-haul business class on their Boeing 777 flights to Abu Dhabi and Los Angeles.

All passengers will have 100% convenient aisle access with ample privacy to work, unwind and rest due to the new 1-2-1 seating configuration of the aircraft. Guests can arrive at their destination feeling refreshed and recharged thanks to the new turn down service with mattress toppers of memory foam and large pillows. For passengers traveling in pairs, the center suites come with a sliding privacy screen which can be opened and closed.

The new aircraft has an enhanced restaurant style meal service with the new Luke menu, which will enable the passenger to dine whenever they want. A new Express Dining option is available for guests wishing to maximize the time to work and rest on-board. The suites are inspired by the interiors of some of the world's premium automotive designs. They were customized by a renowned design agency. Hans Hulsbosch and Tangerine London, the creative director of Virgin Australia were responsible for this. The suites were manufactured by B/E Aerospace.

A redesigned Business Class Bar with a new Premium Economy Cabin is to be progressively introduced on the airline's Boeing 777 long-haul fleet of the aircraft. It is supposed to commence reconfiguration in November and fly to Los Angeles and Abu Dhabi.
