A city on South Korea’s northwest coast bordering Seoul, Incheon is a busy international port and economic center. Incheon, home to about 3 million people, is South Korea’s third-largest city by population, after Seoul and Busan. The city is also an important transportation center for the Seoul metro area.

Many of the sports games played in the city are held at the Munhak Sports Complex and the Incheon Football Stadium.

 

Notable people from Incheon include professional MLB baseball players Ji-Man Choi, who currently plays first base for the San Diego Padres, and Hyun-jin Ryu, a pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays. Professional voice actress, Michaela Dietz, who has worked on several American television series for children, and acclaimed professional kickboxer Lee Sung-hyun are also from Incheon.
