Tourists who fly to Alicante come to vacation at the area’s beach resorts as well as to see the city’s historic sites. One of Alicante’s most well-known historic buildings is the Castle of Santa Barbara located on top of Mount Benacantil, a small coastal mountain that can be seen from all points in the city. The Barrio de la Santa Cruz, the picturesque city neighborhood south of the castle, is also a popular destination for visitors. Other city sites include the 18th-century Gravina Palace, which is today home to the Gravina Museum of Fine Arts, and Tabarca island, located just off of Alicante’s coast.

This warm and charismatic spot features delicious tapas, croquettes, paella, and an amazing selection of local wines. One of the reasons for its popularity, aside from its tantalizing flavors, is its approachable staff, many of whom speak multiple languages.
